Dr. Chris Demczar

Dr. Chris Demczar, DC, MS, CFMP, CSCS is a licensed chiropractic physician, functional medicine practitioner, and strength and conditioning coach. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Sherman College of Chiropractic in 2021, the forefront school for chiropractic education. While at Sherman, Dr. Demczar became certified in advanced chiropractic techniques such as Torque Release Technique and Tonal Integrative Correction. These techniques have enabled Dr. Demczar to work with even the most complex neurological cases from a chiropractic perspective.

Prior to that, Dr. Demczar received his BS in Biomedical Sciences from Rochester Institute of Technology in 2014, and his MS in Exercise Science from Appalachian State University in 2016. During that time he honed in his understanding of human kinetics and sport performance; holding roles at Forza Fitness, Mike Boyle's Strength and Conditioning, and the Appalachian State Women's Soccer team.

Following graduate degree, Dr. Demczar held a role as an Exercise Specialist for the THRIVE Wellness Program, an evidence-based weight loss program based out of Broyhill Wellness Center in Boone, NC. It was here that Dr. Demczar realized that there was more to healing than diet and exercise. The root system in everyone is their nervous system. If the nervous system cannot get the right signal to the right place, every other body system can and will be negatively affected.

As a chiropractor, Dr. Demczar has spent years helping thousands of patients to remove tension along the spinal cord, thus reestablishing the body's normal signaling pathways. This experience also brought to light the understanding that even though the nervous system is the root system in all humans, many processes are influencing our health through our gut. Our body is one integrated unit and needs to be looked at as such. This led Dr. Demczar to become an expert in Functional Medicine, so that any root issue related to a patient's gut health will not slow down the healing process neurologically. When one system is not working properly, research has proven that every other system in the body is affected in some way.

Dr. Demczar has been a 'southerner' living in North Carolina since 2014. He is married to his beautiful wife, Carly, and they have two children, Rheese and Mia. Rheese is in heaven with God, and is a large reason Dr. Demczar named his clinic 'Look Up'. In his free time, Dr. Demczar enjoys traveling to new cities with his family, and being physically active whether it's mountain biking, soccer, or pickleball.
